2022: National Rescue Movement (NRM) will take over Ekiti – Party Chieftain

A former Deputy Governorship candidate and now a cheiftain of National Rescue Movement (NRM), Ekiti State chapter, Engr. Kayode Arowolo has said that NRM will takeover the leadership of the state come 2022 gubernatorial election.


He maintained that the party has put all the necessary machineries in motion across the length and breath of the state and the country to takeover what belong to them when the time comes.


His words: “Very soon both the rulling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will soon be faced out in the system and demolished by the third force political party in the country and all hands are on deck to actualise same. They have been tested and we’ve seen what they are up to.”




Engr. Arowolo who hale from Ikoro-Ekiti in Ijero Local Government gave the assurance in an exclusive interview with the THE-COMPASS in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.


According to him, “The National Rescue Movement is a political party to reconed with considering the kinds of personalities in the build-up ahead of the coming elections across the country.”


Engr. Arowolo who served as a running mate to a Governorship candidate in the 2018 governorship election, stressed that the issue of moneybag politics will soon be a thing of the past in Nigeria politics.


“As stakeholders in Ekiti politics, we are working endlessly to bring-up National Rescue Movement to limelight in Ekiti and Nigeria in general. No stone will be left unturned. We are not going to look back because we are focusing and determined to take the bull by the horns, in order to takeover the governance of Ekiti state,” Arowolo stated.


Also speaking in the same vein, the Ekiti State Chairman of NRM, Ifedayo Iyaniwura who doubles as the Number One Political Party Chairman in Ekiti State, being the Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) said that the two major political parties in the state and Nigeria should be prepared for a tough battle during the coming elections.



In his words, “National Rescue Movement (NRM) is a people’s oriented party that has programs that shall be of immense benefits to the less privilege and the poor in the society.


“National Rescue Movement is the David of our time that God has empowered to wrestle power from these goliaths named All Progressive Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the chairman said." Having assured the people of Ekiti State of a new dawn.
